With the Dual-Eyed Wigglers thriving down in the depths, it was only a matter of time they would begin to get far larger than their ancestors. This would then allow them to become large macropredators, becoming the highly successful Wigglewyrms. Unlike their ancestors, who were technically colonial even if they were so tightly knit that they acted like a single organism, the Wigglewyrm is truly multicellular. At the time of its evolution, the Wigglewyrm is the largest predator found within the depths of The Fucking Trench, taking up the role of an apex predator.

The first segment still is dedicated towards food, with the mandibles helping to kill and dismember prey while their antennae-like cilia help detect vibrations that allows them to zero in on potential prey. Much like their ancestors within The Fucking Trench, the Wigglewyrm’s second segment is dedicated towards visions with large eyes adapted to get as much light as possible, though they now have a ring of eyes rather than just two. Indeed, almost all of its ancestral cells have become ringed segments, with the segments between the eye segment and the last segment having rings of cilia that help it move and maintain depth though the Wigglewyrm will also undulate its body to swim.

The last segment contains several different flagella, which partially helps with swimming, but is more a vestigial feature for adults and is more important in juveniles though it does also partially act as a lure. It's also the last two segments of the Wigglewyrm that are dedicated towards reproduction, with those segments detaching and becoming a new individual. The flagella turn into the mandibles and “antennae” while the back segment slowly develops and new segments grow out until it reaches adult size. The adult Wigglewyrm will also regrow the two back segments overtime.
