With the success of the Hilltree Blob, they became dominant flora in their range, however, they were fairly heavy, and some began shrinking because of this, while still trying to retain a large area of photosynthetic area, eventually resulting in the Shroomtree. As stated before, they are smaller than their ancestor, and much more common, sometimes forming forests in especially thick areas of ice. They have a structure resembling the cap of a terran mushroom at the top of their body, which functions to gather more sunlight. This 'cap' also has spots on it, most of which being fairly dark to absorb even more light, in combination with the wrinkles and groves. Their newborns are the same size as their ancestor's, and again, behave the same way as the Hillblob. Their eyes are now separate, though this feature is only useful for juveniles due to the wider range of vision it provides.
