The rooted glass is a new kind of glass block with roots. They are much larger due to a lack of competition and being more complex. They are now multicellular and have rootlike organs which anchor them to the sand. These roots no longer have the glass shell and are soft. The roots are used to absorb nutrients and decompose things. Their main method of reproduction is to send out an especially long root and grow a new rooted glass off of it, although any piece of the rooted glass can become a new individual. They are hard to eat (and hurt to step on) due to having a glass shell so they can only be eaten with a hard glass-crunching beak or by eating the roots. They are nonvascular and can be made into sunglasses and stuff.
