With the diversification of large predators within the Dingus Scrub, they were sure to leave behind the remains of their deceased prey which can provide an ideal food source for any creature that can make the large distances between each carcass. This would tempt some populations of Rakaw to leave the dense forests and jungles to live out in the open, being able to cover the distance between bodies with relative ease. The main problem was the fact they needed to land to feed on the carrion, and volant species of Radons are not particularly competent on the ground. To become better at terrestrial locomotion as well as better processing carcasses, these populations of Rakaws would evolve into the Radvulture.

To better move along the ground, the Radvulture rests their last section of their hind limbs on the ground and having it act like a foot, while the tail is raised up and curled to not get in the way as they walk around. When on the ground, the Radvulture can either do a slow crawl or a bounding hobble. This superior ground mobility allows the Radvulture to properly take advantage of whatever carrion they come across though they will also snap up small prey like "insects" or Snufflers. The third eye on the top of their head has become extremely large and is raised up due to a ridge of bone, this allows them to look downward more efficiently and scan the land for potential food sources. Their sharp vision is also aided by their keen sense of smell, as the chemoreceptors in their spiracles have become much more derived and sensitive, allowing the Radvulture to smell the whiff of flesh from a distance as far as several miles away. A single carcass will attract dozens of Radvultures at once, and so the species has adapted to tolerate one another, with the species even using their numbers to give themselves an advantage. When enough Radvultures show up at a carcass, their sheer numbers can often deter any other nearby carnivores from rushing in to get some of the leftovers as they would rather not deal with multiple shots of lasers or tons of vicious bites and scratches. A common scenario in the Dingus Scrub, for example, is a Seizing Bupper to catch a small turdle and begin feeding only for a swarm of Radvultures to show up and drive it away despite the fact that in a 1v1 confrontation a Seizing Bupper would easily kill a Radvulture.

To feed on carcasses, the Radvulture's bill has had their prongs become enormous and extremely sharp to better cut through flesh and tear off pieces. The species has also developed an adaptation to better process the meat they tear off, being the second species of Radon to evolve an invertible throat. The throat pouch can be inverted to act like a tongue, with large spines to help grind up bits of meat and bone into smaller chunks that can be more easily swallowed. Strong stomach acids and a large digestive tract allow the Radvulture to thoroughly digest their meals and extract as much energy as they can, even being able to reliably feed on rotten flesh without any ill-effects. This serves them well within the Dingus Desert, where sources of carrion typically come from fauna that succumbed to the elements and may have been dead for days or even weeks. The radioactive organ is still used as a defense against predators and drive other carnivores off of a carcass, but the ability to produce thermals has come back into use since it allows the Radvulture to soar for large distances without having to beat their wings.

Much like their ancestor and close relative, the Radvulture produces one underdeveloped chick at a time, so it does not hinder them as they move around. Because of this, the youngster relies upon its parent for protection and so the Rakaw will use its tail to wrap around the chick and carry it while they move along the ground. Since the open scrub is home to a wide variety of predators that will happily eat a chick, the parent will keep the youngster will them at all times, even when the youngster would be well developed enough to forage for itself. It is only when the youngster becomes too heavy for them to carry that the parent has the youngster go live on their own. Since the youngster had been around the parent the whole time, they already have a large amount of knowledge on how to survive and learn the rest of their life skills by observing other Radvultures and following their lead.
