More and more colonies came together for more access to light, leading to larger and larger combinations until they led to these giants of their ecosystem. They stack onto one another in long branching strands anchored to the substrate with the central stems having multiple cells for better support at such a large size. Each cell has a large chloroplast of a brownish green color. They reproduce by fission, budding and can regrow the colony via fragmentation. they stretch in large fields across the seabed. They are fine to eat by basically anything and survive by their sheer size along with their rapid reproduction.
