Pigmy Void Schattolauren

With the large diversity of the Void Belt, there were many herbivores looking to eat the leaves of Void Schattolaurens, though, there was also not very much small flora other than ones that lived on larger organisms, so, some Void Schattolaurens began combining these two. Pigmy Void Schattolaurens are under half the size of their ancestor, though make up for this with their wide fins, higher mobility, and strange, tentacle-like lobes. They are very common due to their size and how they only require sunlight to live as adults, unlike Leafy Schattolaurens, who still have to consume organic matter. Due to their size, they are quite fast compared to their relatives, and even react to herbivores eating away at their leaves by whacking them with their twelve, specialized, whip-like lobes. This generally causes the herbivore to be flung back, helping it retain its lobes, as a mutation resulted in them not being able to regenerate as fast. They still produce the orange sludge their ancestor did, though in smaller quantities, and they usually harbor less diversity than their relatives, sometimes the juveniles of Radiocoons and Oblilauren, and almost never hives and nests from Vandalaurens and Nesting Schattolauren. Occasionally, they may have bursts of activity, where they try communicating with other Void Schattolaurens, including their own species, though these rarely last over a day.
