A mutation occurred in a Sematree colony, resulting in the forming of two exact replicas of the structure the colony would usually form, connected between the roots and leaves, which this was kept in its descendants, leading to speciation and the evolution of the Dual Sematree. Their leaves are proportionately smaller than their ancestor's, but that is only because they have more of them, and now the places leaves used to be are just indents. Due to their structure, they cannot move very well, and have thus lost much of their ability to snatch corpses and stuff near them, though their uppermost leaves are still rather developed due to them being photosynthetic. With their wider base, they have much more stability, their hooked claws only helping themselves remain planted in the ground. Other than that, they are nearly exactly like their ancestor, having much of the same cell size and height, and even the same color.
