The Giant Semoeba has moved to the sea floor, losing its ability to swim, though has become large enough to feed on some benthic organisms that inhabit the benthos. they use their pseudopods to crawl along the sea floor, as well as latch onto nearby prey and eat them. They now can feed off dead organisms, feeding on both carcasses, detritus and marine snow.
